FEEL THE MUSIC
(2 Images)

TET, 29” tall, Dormant, 5 ¼” bloom, early/mid, 3 & 4 way branching, 18 buds (One Last Dance X Proof Positive)

I like to take a radio tuned to my favorite “oldies” station out to the garden with me while I work. Unlike those with gifted voices, I can not sing a note to save my life! This does not stop me from celebrating the beauty around me, the joy of friends and the youthful, innocence of days gone by.

Celebrating the day with me is this cotton candy pink bloom. A small pink-peach watermark swirls above a vivid yellow to green throat. The light pink ruffle twists and turns its way over the petal edges. Dormant blue-green foliage emerges in spring, quickly forming some of the largest fans in the garden. The strong, well branched scapes hold the blooms well above the foliage and the excellent bud count ensures you will enjoy a long season of feeling the music. Fertile both ways. $50.00 DF

LET GO LAUGHING
(2 Images)

TET, 29” tall, Dormant, 6 ¾” bloom, mid/late, CMO, Ext. Sculpted 3 way branching, 15-18 buds (Seedling x Proof Positive)

Have you ever had “one of those days”? When you just can’t wait to escape into the garden…..

These 6 ¾ inch clear rose-violet flowers are waiting for you. A large cream watermark, small green throat and the sweetest, slightly up-turned, ruffled edge will surely bring a smile. Strong 29 inch scapes and widely spaced 3 way branching display each bloom perfectly.

A welcome CMO for the North, opening early and retaining it’s calming, arms wide open shape until evening. Visible from a distance are the distinct sculpted ridges of a classic repousse pattern rising from the throat between each vein. Easily fertile both ways and a wonderful parent for Relief Sculpted forms.

MY LITTLE FOOL
(3 Images)

TET, 32” tall, Dormant, 6 ½” bloom, mid/late, EMO, Ext, Sculpted 3 way branching, 15+ buds, (One Last Dance X Proof Positive)

Petals of soft coral-rose blend into a unique light peach watermark. Gentle ruffles, edged light peach to cream, wide blunt sepals and a small green throat all combine revealing her feminine charm. Sculpted petals show a slightly rebellious side, softly or tightly pleating, depending on her mood. A hardy dormant with deep green foliage and sturdy scapes. Much admired by garden visitors and my personal favorite. Fertile both ways. $75.00 DF

“I must learn to love the fool in me - the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries. It alone protects me against that utterly self-controlled, masterful tyrant whom I also harbor and who would rob me of my human aliveness, humility and dignity but for my fool.” Theodore I. Ruben
